Ultrasound Installation Day Guide
What to expect:Your on-site installation day will be dedicated to your system set-up and operation. There will be some time to orient you on ultrasound scanning technique as well. We have trained over 6000 veterinarians on the use of ultrasound and would like to request the following schedule to facilitate a successful start to your ultrasound training. The objective for the Installation Day is, first and foremost, to program and install your ultrasound system. Some ultrasound scanning on-site training is also included with the objective of having you feel comfortable enough to start using your new system. Enrollment in an education seminar (Click here for courses and schedules) is highly encouraged as soon as is practical after your Installation Day. Ultrasound is a very gratifying but cumulative skill to learn, and your enjoyment and success will be proportionate to the time and effort you put into it. It will be important to schedule yourself as uninterrupted as possible for the Installation Day. We recommend that you have another veterinarian completely cover your appointments and surgeries that day. This will increase the amount of material we will be able to cover, and appropriate scheduling will maximize your learning experience. Your networking issues will need to be handled by your own IT personal before the Installation Day. Communication with your networking system and communications from ultrasound equipment to your DR software unless it is Sound equipment, should be handled by your IT personnel. **Note: Sound Technologies is not responsible for the initial setup of your network or the maintenance of it. Please direct your IT service or Network Administrator to set up before you Installation Day. Also please have your IT person available first thing in the morning on the Installation Day. The Sound Technologies applications specialist will need the IP address, AE title and port number of your DICOM server. Please have that information available for when they arrive. ** Training Day Schedule (example day)
We are excited that you have made this commitment to incorporate ultrasound into your practice and look forward to supporting you in the process.
